I've got to make lots of copies of this, including some waterproof ones for the shower. My characters keep doing their very best stuff while I'm stuck somewhere unable to record their doings, and then I forget all their best lines.
Very good list for character analysis & definition. The "at least 2 more flaws than" advice is a good reminder to me -- I tend to write my heroes as epic, which puts them into a terrible position as mere human beings.
The suggestion of representative quotes is excellent. For me, that can be more helpful than my descriptions of them.
Thanks so much!
do you mind if I use it?
